Antique Edwardian Diamond and Sapphire Ring in excellent condition, circa 1915
SOLD Antique Edwardian diamond and fancy cut natural vivid blue sapphire platinum ring in a quatrefoil motif, circa 1915. The center four diamonds are surrounded by calibre cut natural vivid blue sapphires which are then surrounded by rose cut diamonds and a small rose diamond going down the shank.
The four diamonds in the center are near colorless, I/J and very slightly included. They are estimated to weigh .55 cts. This platinum ring is in fine condition, a size 7 and can be resized.
Today, a preponderance of jewelry is machine made in large factories around the world with abundant and obvious suspensions as to its enduring qualities using not only inferior stones, but also man made stones and treated stones utilizing artificial substances. Alternatively, this antique ring is distinctive, hand crafted and one of a kind.
