Burma Unheated Sapphire, 8.92 ct. AGL Certified Diamond Art Deco Platinum Ring. Price on Request
Important Unheated Burma Sapphire weigh 8.92 cts., accompanied by a certificate from the American Gemological Laboratory, with a special Appendix from the president of AGL, Mr. Christopher Smith.
There was a reason why the late Harry Winston said his favorite sapphire involved unheated material from Burma.
This particular shape of stone - a sugarloaf cabochon - also favored by the great man - possesses an "endless blue" vibrancy rarely available in the market and likely, the result of both the very special tonality of its color and the immaculate, near flawlessness of its clarity.
The stone weighs exactly 8.92 cts and has been found by the American Gemological Laboratory in New York to warrant an Appendix to it's prestige, Report No. 1120423, dated 27 January 2022. The Appendix indicates that this gem warrants an elite status worthy of the legendary Land of Burma.
The lovely ring from the Art Deco time period also adds to the rarity of the center stone accented as it is by nearly one carat of diamonds and a pair of matching smaller sugarloaf cabochon sapphires.
This ring is a size 8 and can easily be resized. The ring, in the interior of the shanks, bears a platinum mark applied recently upon test.
