Pierre/Famille notes from the conservator of the collection:
A contradiction of shapes and textures greet the eye of the observer as the wearer moves. Diamonds of inestimable brilliance live within a background of satin finish platinum. A scintillated rhomboid that has four spiked corners each tucked beneath a softly curved edge. All our contradictions in shape. Material and texture or are all just a different variant of white on white - classically Edwardian. Quite an enigma! Possibly just like the wearer.
