Jean Vitau pin and pendant of a large exotic flower. Jean Vitau began designing jewelry in the last quarter of the 20th century in Paris. He moved to New York and became a leader in jewelry design. He worked for Tiffany and also designed pieces under his own name. This colorful and express large brooch possesses 234 fine colored stones weighing over 21 cts.
There are also 2.15 cts. of very fine white brilliant cut diamonds. These diamonds are well matched with superb cutting, and a color grade estimated to be F/G (the high range of the near colorless range to colorless), and very slightly included to very very slightly included (VVS-VS1),
The Tsavorites weigh an estimated 3.24 cts all of these bright stones are a gem green. The pink sapphires are a beautiful bright pink - fuchsia color weighing an estimated 17.83 cts
The brooch/pendant measures 2.5 inches, it is signed on the verso with the year it was made, and 18K. The 18K chain is 16 inches in length. It weighs 46 grams.
