Sapphire and Diamond Fine Earrings
Diamond and Sapphire Fine Earrings. A stylized fan motif pair of earrings in vivid blue sapphires and white brilliant cut diamonds. These earrings are set with 42 well matched bright natural sapphires all well cut and displaying a fine blue color with no undertones. The weight is estimated to be 8.14 cts. The 40 white diamonds are all near colorless, (H) and very slightly included to the first degree, (VS1) Together there are 10.92 cts. of fine stones.
The 18K white gold earrings are made well. On the verso, one can see a flip up/flip down post which is made well. The earrings are 1.1/8th inches tall, and 7/8 inches across.

There is something quite special and certainly a pleasure to the eye about these simple but exceedingly effective earrings from the 1950's with their nearly 2 cts., of diamonds and over 8 cts. of sapphires each set cunningly on the ear with 82 stones in all.
