Antique Diamond Flower Brooch/Pendant, c. 1860
Antique diamond flower brooch/pendant, mid-nineteenth century. Silver on 18K yellow gold. This is very typical of early pieces made at this time before the discovery and use of platinum in jewelry. White rose cut diamond are set in the hand engraved leaves and there are small rose cut diamonds set in the gold pistils. The center mine cut diamond is set with yellow gold prongs The total diamond weight of this well made "dogwood" flower is 1.20 cts. The diameter of the flower is 1.25 inches.
