Platinum, Diamond, and Onyx Necklace, circa 1920
Early 20th century French design, blanc de blanc, platinum necklace. The tear drop frosted rock crystal pendant portion is set with moonstone and old cut diamonds. It is suspended from black enamel, onyx and old cut diamonds. The rock crystal has been professionally polished because it had sustained some slight wear and abrasion to the rock crystal elements. Also at an earlier time, we feel the clasp was replaced with the simple spring and jump ring which we have left on. This modernist necklace has a total of 34 diamonds. It is 24.5 inches in length.
