Georg Jensen Vintage Sterling Silver Sautoir Necklace, Designed by Astrid Fog
George Jensen is considered to be the most famous Denmark jeweler in the 20th Century. His vintage pieces are rare and quite collected. This necklace was designed by one of Jensen's finer designers, Astrid Fog, 1911-1993, who began designing for Georg Jensen in the late 1960's. Her modernist designs are sleek yet bold and easy to wear. Her pieces are very popular and can be found in the British museum.
This necklace in fine condition is circa 1969, a classic design of Astrid Fog and one difficult to find especially in this length. It is the longest necklace that was made at 42.5 inches long. It weighs 60.5 grams and signed Georg Jensen, Denmark, 925 silver, and with the number 175.
