Fine Pave Set Diamond, Emerald, and 18K Yellow & White Gold Charming Bird Brooch
Diamond pave bird pin set with 93 brilliant cut diamonds amounting to approximately 2 cts. These diamonds are all well cut and finely matched. They are estimated to be conservatively G/H, near colorless, and VS1, very slightly included to the first degree. Our charming birdy is 1 inch across, he has a round cabochon cut bright green emerald for his eye. His tail feathers are tapered baguette cut diamonds.
Our song bird is 18K yellow and white gold. The pin stem is 14K. This is not unusual as 14k is sturdier than 18K. We have performed acid testing to confirm its gold content. The piece bears a three digit number which is difficult to ascertain. The clasp has a locking mechanism which works well. The brooch is well made and in fine condition, the weight is 5.8 grams.
