Victorian Gold and Black Enamel Bangle Bracelet, c. 1880. ON HOLD
HOLDAntique yellow gold and black tracery enamel on a highly hand etched bangle bracelet. These types of bracelets were usually American and popular in the last quarter of the nineteenth century.
This piece is a wonderful example of this type of bracelet. It weighs 18.4 grams. The bracelet is a small size. We have shown it on a model that has a wrist size of medium to large, measuring approximately 6.5 inches. One can see that it does fits snuggly on this model's wrist.
The enamel is in fine condition. The bracelet, also in fine condition, has an inscription which we have photographed. The piece is made well. Notice how seamless the clasp is. The craftsman took special attention to the bracelet's closure making it is almost invisible. The safety chain has been removed, but can be put back on.
All items sold are accompanied by a detailed Statement of Value by our gemologist, as well as all original Laboratory Certificates, if specified in listing. As always, we guarantee all of our pieces, forever. Each piece of jewelry arrives in a finely gift-wrapped presentation box.
