Raymond Yard Diamond and Sapphire Clips, c. 1960s.
Raymond Yard diamond and sapphire matching clips. They are featured in the Raymond Yard book, "Yard, The Life and Magnificent Jewelry of Raymond C. Yard". We have provided a photograph of the cover of the book as well as the clips pictured.
The clips measure 1.75 inches in length and 1.5 inches across. We estimated that there are 1 ct of vivid blue sapphires and 1 ct. of white (H,VS1,) near colorless diamonds.
The gold surface has a rimmed patina which is in keeping with Yard's textured finishes at this time.
The clips weigh 23.3 grams, they are 14K (Yard frequently worked in this metal as it was "oh, so American"), and marked. Both clips bear the Yard signature.
All items sold are accompanied by a detailed Statement of Value, as well as all original GIA certificates, if specified in listing. As always, we guarantee all of pieces. Each piece of jewelry arrives in a finely gift-wrapped presentation box.
