Circa 1860 Victorian Braided Gold Necklace and Locket
Mid 19th Century braided 14K gold necklace suspends the original matching locket/hair receiver. The braided necklace can be worn at its longest length of 21 inches or one can remove the pendant element and wear it shorter at about 18 inches. Once one adds the locket now there are two additional way to wear it. The locket has a flower basket motif with a small natural pearl, and multi color gold (pink, green, and the white is an early use of platinum). The piece is in pristine condition (there is slight wear to the back of the locket). The necklace weighs 49.54 grams.
