CONDITIONS OF SALE
All pieces in our inventory are guaranteed absolutely and without reservation to be as represented, authentic of the time period and possessing genuine natural stones. Restoration of pieces is done when needed. For example, abraded diamonds or colored stones may be removed for repolishing or for gemological analysis and then reset. Pieces missing diamonds in some portions of a setting may have diamonds, cut in the same time period, used to fill those settings. Platinum or gold may also be repolished or resoldered as needed. We warrant and guarantee that all the diamonds we sell are natural in color and clarity. None are laser drilled, fractur filled, color treated or clarity enhanced in any way whatsoever. The condition of every piece shown here is "fine" to "extrememly gine" unless otherwise noted. Preservation prohibits our removing and weighing every stone. Consequently, all weights, and for that matter all measurements, are approximate unless preceeded by the word, "exactly".
While Pierre/Famille, Inc. retains GIA trained gemologists on staff, we, nonetheless, seek whenever possible the independent judgement of several gemological laboratories. Any assumption that the conclusion(s) of 1 laboratory would be identical to the conclusions of another laboratory is not necessarily true. Indeed, for a variety of reasons, laboratories can and do disagree with one another. Pierre/Famille, Inc. has endeavored to consult only with laboratories of the highest international recognition and widely held respect.
The GIA is the Gemological Institute of America. The AGL is the American Gemological Laboratory. The AGTA is the American Gem Trade Association Laboratory. The SSEF is the Swiss Gemological Laboratory. Gubelin is the Gubelin Laboratory, also in Switzerland. The EGL is the European Gemological Laboratory. While Pierre/Famille may on occasion use a modern diamond or diamonds (represented as such) as opposed to old diamonds or those found in estates, we unconditionally warrant and guarantee that such stones have been purchased from legitimate sources not involved in funding "conflict" or "blood" diamonds and that these sources are in compliance with the pertinent United Nations resolutions.
All prices are subject to change. Postage, insurance, packing and Colorado/Aspen sales tax when applicable are extra. Without exception, firm immediate orders shall always take precendence over pending conditional transactions. Pierre/Famille specializes in antique, estate and period jewelry. Understandably, therefore, Pierre/Famille is neither a representative of, nor affiliated with, nor are we authorized dealers for any of the herein named jewelers or jewelry houses.
